Activities
OXME is a website for young people that has loads of information on things to do in Oxfordshire.
KEEN Oxford is a youth-led organisation that creates inclusive projects. KEEN is a diverse group of disabled and non-disabled people working together to support and promote promote inclusion in Oxfordshire.
The Family Information Service (FIS) lists events and activities for children, young people and families.
The Theatre Chipping Norton gives access to films and stage performances that are:
- audio described
- captioned
- signed
- relaxed (great for anyone who might find the theatre environment stressful)
Sport
OXSRad is a unique, welcoming, inclusive sports and recreation centre for all ages. The centre is open to disabled and non-disabled users. At OXSRad, you'll find:
- a well-equipped gym with adaptive equipment
- a sports hall
- sensory room
- spinning studio
- dance studio
- café
Oxford City Casuals is a PAN-disability football programme for players with disabilities aged 8 to 40 and their friends and family. They meet at Oxford City football club every Sunday to play in a safe and friendly environment.
Make your own decisions
You have the right to make your own decisions from age 16. Of course, your parents, carers, or other family members can support you.
You can make sure you have your say by reading more about your rights to make your own decisions. Childline has some information that can help you understand more.
Proving your age can be difficult and embarrassing if someone doesn't believe you. You can apply for the PASS scheme and get a card that will help you prove your age.
